The reality of the campaign trail looks a little different when you’re a parent with young children. (

Balancing family life with civic duty is part of the job. Earlier this week, I stopped by MP Kristina Tesser Derksen’s open house in the evening at Lyla’s House coffee shop to discuss Milton’s infrastructure funding challenges.
Infrastructure is the foundation of our community’s future. If we want Milton to continue to be a place where our children can thrive, we need:
- Sustainable service levels that keep pace with community growth.
- Proactive asset management to avoid handing deferred investments as a future tax increase to future generations.
- Our fair share of reliable funding from senior levels of government.
I’m committed to doing the work—and happily juggling the parental duties along the way.
