I am not a career politician looking for a salary. I am running to redefine political leadership by grounding it in technical expertise, community service, and true stewardship.
Public service is about giving back to the community, not taking a paycheck. Staying committed to my philosophy of true stewardship, I have pledged to donate 100% of my compensation as Regional Councillor to local food banks and charities.
Here is how my 100% compensation pledge will serve all of Milton. Our community is wonderfully diverse, and the challenges we face across healthcare, emergency shelters and homelessness prevention, youth support, food security, and the environment impact us all.
To ensure I am supporting a wide variety of community needs, each year I will distribute my 26 bi-weekly paychecks evenly across these 13 organizations (i.e. two paychecks per organization each year):
1. Milton District Hospital Foundation
2. North Halton Hospice (Townsend Smith Foundation)
3. Milton Meals on Wheels
4. Halton Women’s Place
5. Wesley
6. Milton Transitional Housing
7. Milton Navy League Cadets
8. Reach Out Centre for Kids
9. Community Living North Halton
10. The Salvation Army Khi Community
11. MAM Food Bank
12. Milton Halal Food Bank
13. Sustainable Milton
True stewardship means recognizing the challenges of every demographic in Milton. I am excited to support the frontline organizations that serve us all.
Those who know me well, especially my family, know that giving back to the community is a deeply ingrained personal value rooted in spirituality. It is a commitment I have maintained throughout my life under all financial circumstances. My core philosophy of true stewardship demands nothing less.
I am 100% clear in my conviction that I am running to serve this community, not to profit from it.
