Looking Beyond the Politics of Division

Milton is a town built on mutual respect, hard work, and a shared commitment to building a better future for our families.

As we look toward the future of Milton, the standard of leadership we choose matters—not just in Council chambers, but in how we conduct ourselves and manage the public spaces we control.

Over the last few weeks, I have noticed a troubling amount of division and toxic rhetoric creeping into some of our local online spaces.

The standard of dialogue we choose to tolerate in our shared community spaces—both online and offline—sets the tone for our entire town. Allowing xenophobia and targeted harassment to go completely unchecked in public discourse isn’t just an oversight; it is a fundamental failure of public accountability.

True leadership means standing up for all residents. It means prioritizing substance over noise, and choosing unity over division. Our neighbors, our local business owners, and our families deserve a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.

I believe everyone running for office or leading a community group has an obligation to uphold safe, constructive, and respectful spaces. I am fully committed to keeping our campaign and our community conversations constructive, evidence-based, and inclusive.

Let’s reject the politics of division and focus on the real work of moving Milton forward together.
