Global Best Practices, Local Solutions: Representing Canada at ISO Technical Committee 251 Plenary in Japan

I am looking forward to heading to Kyoto this weekend to attend the ISO Technical Committee meetings from Monday, June 29 to Friday, July 3.

As part of the Canadian delegation, it is always a privilege to collaborate in person with international experts to shape the future of the broader discipline of asset management.

These face-to-face sessions are essential for building global consensus and advancing our shared work on the ISO 55000 series. Thank you to the Japanese Association for Asset Management (JAAM) for hosting us!

My real passion, however, is bringing this global expertise back home. As a municipal infrastructure practitioner based in Milton, Ontario, I am passionate about translating these best practices into data-driven, fiscally sustainable solutions for our local infrastructure challenges.

Ultimately, public service is a trust. It means acting as responsible stewards of the places we call home to build a strong, resilient foundation for our children and future generations.
