Examples of Equity in Service Delivery

Whether you live in a newly built subdivision or an old neighbourhood in Milton, the quality of your municipal services shouldn’t depend on your postal code. Municipal services must be proactively designed for the people who actually use them.

To provide equitable services and address evolving needs of our growing and diverse community, I will utilize demographic and socioeconomic trends with spatial equity mapping to:

📊 Establish minimum acceptable service levels to guarantee the quality and reliability of local infrastructure across all of Milton

🕒 Expand youth and senior programs to 12 hours a day, year-round to combat isolation, support working families, and enhance quality of life for all

⚽ Build new sports fields to support physical and mental well-being

🛝 Install additional play structures in neighbourhoods with young families

🚌 Optimize transit routes for better connectivity to jobs, schools, hospitals, and places of worship

🕊️ Designate land for new faith-based cemeteries to support families in honouring their cultural and religious traditions locally

🏡 Invest in community housing & long-term care to support vulnerable residents and reduce the strain on local emergency and healthcare systems

🤝 Enhance by-law enforcement alongside public education to uphold shared community standards for parking, noise, and property maintenance

It is time to stop reacting to growth and start managing it. Let’s build a proactive, equity-focused future for our community.
